The issue that several individuals have been facing with Cyberpunk's approach of athletic leveling is its very sluggish speed. Like, glaringly, terribly so. Thankfully, there are a few workarounds you can use to speed up the process a little bit; we'll outline them in our Cyberpunk Athletics – Level Up Athletics XP tutorial. Although it's unfortunate that you have to use them at all, it's simply the way things work out.

In Cyberpunk 2077, athletics is a talent associated with the Body attribute that controls your character's physical prowess. That refers to your health, carrying capacity, rate of health regeneration, and stamina. These skills may be helpful for almost any Cyberpunk build, as you would expect, but they are particularly beneficial for more physical builds. As in, a street samurai or brawler?

The Cyberpunk 2077 Athletics skill has an issue in that it levels up rather slowly. It usually rises when you run, leap, climb, swim, and use melee weapons. It may be a glitch of some kind for certain people, however even in that case, it may still be rather sluggish. Let's now discuss several strategies for farming Cyberpunk 2077 Athletics XP quickly.

Level Athletics Cyberpunk

There are a few strategies you may use to level Athletics in Cyberpunk quickly; we'll outline them here. When it's feasible, feel free to combine them; that's also a perfectly good tactic. Again, this is a list of methods ranked from quickest to slowest, although your mileage may differ based on your total character development.

  • Get a Berserk operating system at a ripperdoc, and install the Kereznikov reflex booster in your nervous system. Enter Berserk Mode and spam Dodge and/or hit a wall with Gorilla Arms. Rinse and repeat. The Kerezinkov and Gorilla Arms are optional, but they do help. You can get the Zetatech Berserk Mk.5 OS at a ripperdoc in Kabuki, but any similar OS will do, as long as you have the Body score. You can also use the time skip to fast-forward through the cooldown.
  • During the Beat on the Brat side job chain, you’ll meet a fighter called Rhino. You can fight against them, throw the match before winning, and then jump into a rematch pretty much immediately. Again, rinse and repeat as much as you want.
  • Stand in some corner where you can’t hurt anyone, and wave your melee weapon around until your stamina depletes completely. Wait for your stamina to refill, then start flailing again.
  • Find doors to force open. Given the option to hack a door or pry it open with your bare hands, always go for the latter when you can. Besides, it’s a much cooler entrance that way.
  • Go swimming. Sure, it’s slower than some of the other options that we’ve mentioned, but it is better than climbing, jumping and/or running.
