Like many multiplayer first-person shooters, XDefiant was released yesterday, and in order to access even the most basic of weapons and gadgets, you have to complete certain missions. Among such gadgets is the flashbang grenade, which a lot of people like using. "Kills 20 Enemies Suffering from Status Conditions" is the challenge for it. What exactly are the status requirements in XDefiant, one may wonder? Is it the actual flashbang? But if I have to use it to unlock the flashbang, how can I accomplish that? Or is it some kind of electrical damage caused by EMP grenades or fire damage? In an attempt to assist you with this task, I'll walk you through my steps and the experiments I completed to unlock the flashbang grenade.

How Can I Get 20 Kills in XDefiant on Enemies With Status Conditions?

First of all, when I thought of elemental damage, I immediately thought of the Cleaners, a group of Pyro Technicians in XDefiant. Incendiary bullets are their passive characteristic, meaning that their ammunition does additional burn damage. Hence, a gun that is fired also essentially causes fire damage. Even though I killed a lot of people with the Cleaners, not all of them were used to complete the task.

I then realized that the game had pre-established loadouts. You may really choose prebuilt loadouts when you launch a battle, and those loadouts contain gear that you haven't yet unlocked. There are attachments on even the weaponry you haven't yet unlocked.

The SMG loadout is one of such loadouts, and it includes the actual flashbang grenade. To finish the enemy suffering from status conditions challenge, you may choose the SMG loadout, launch the game, flash the enemies, and kill them while they are affected by the flashbang.

Regretfully, the preassembled loadout's SMG isn't very effective outside of close quarters fighting. This was a difficult method for me to obtain kills.

A Different Approach to Activate the Flashbang Grenade in XDefiant

A different approach to complete the foes' status condition challenge is to choose the Cleaners faction, who have an ability known as the Incinerator Drone. In my opinion, the Incinerator Drone is the one causing the harm to the status quo. It may contribute to completing the flashbang grenade unlock challenge when it eliminates an opponent.

You should be able to finish the task quickly if you use the Cleaners faction with the Incinerator drone along with the pre-made SMG loadout that includes the flashbang grenade.
