Should you pay Stefan for the BD?

Stefan will try to sell you a BD recording for 16000 eddies when you first meet him. Simply go on. It is optimal for you to do this. This is not a place of honor, believe me on that. Nothing valuable is remembered here, no highly respected act.

Should you decide to spend the extra $4k on equipment in addition to the $16,000 for the BD, you will find yourself without everything and in a bathtub. It's really the same bathtub that you and Jackie used to discover Sandra Dorsett all those years ago. Recollections, huh?

Locate and collect the equipment - where is your equipment located?

We all know that's not the case, even if the game appears to assume your primary goal is to get away from the scavengers at this point. Right now, your equipment is all that's on your mind. Where's your equipment at? Everything from the fabled apparel to the recognizable weaponry to the crafting supplies—gone as surely as tears in the rain?

Not really, however. They're in the secret location. Proceed through the opening into the large area once you've arrived at the boss's chamber. Track along the right wall (the one with the windows) to a locker full of obscenely large, premium equipment. After obtaining your belongings, you may destroy everyone and flee.

Once you're outside, find Stefan and deal with him whatever you see fit. It makes no difference; you will undoubtedly not get your twenty thousand dollars back. Reloading a save from a happier period of your life—before Stefan entered your life—would be your best option.
