Early Access for The Rogue Prince of Persia is available now.

The Rogue Prince of Persia is now available on Steam Early Access, after a little delay to allow it to step away from Hades 2. You may get the game for eighteen dollars, which is ten percent cheaper than the twenty dollars it would typically sell for, if you want to start having fun right now. I'm glad that more accessible, condensed-scope games are becoming popular; all I can hope is that Evil Empire doesn't wind up at Microsoft as Tango did.

Hasn't it been a mere moment since we last seen the fabled prince in action? And it's been even longer since the last decent game. That must be the motivation for Ubisoft's decision to return the series to its original focus of precise 2D platforming and acrobatics. And Evil Empire, the folks that contributed to the creation of Dead Cells (or at least some of the later DLCs), would be the best individuals to carry it out. And based on the first evaluations, it seems that they have got it spot on. However, keep in mind that it is currently under Early Access, so some minor issues may yet arise. Remember that.

The Rogue Prince of Persia is a roguelike, as you've undoubtedly guessed, which means that character advancement is achieved by death, which returns you to the starting point. Additionally, you will get various powerups to aid you on your journey in each run, which is procedurally created. This kind of game is standard stuff, but it also has the adrenaline thrill of fast-paced wall-running, platforming, and other aerial displays for which the Prince is now renowned. All in the hopes of protecting your city from an all-out attack that is wreaking havoc.
