Issue with Diablo 4's Darcel Bug and Stolen Artifice Enemy Spawn
We will discuss the entertaining but annoying issue where the quest boss multiplies infinitely in our Diablo 4 Darcel Bug, Stolen Artifice Enemy Spawn Issue tutorial. The clones may sometimes appear in such large quantities that the game may collapse. Don't worry, however; the likelihood of them deleting you before that occurs is substantially higher. Now tell me, what the fuck is happening and is there anything I can do? Let's investigate.
The issue with the stolen artifice and enemy spawning in Diablo 4 is a bug that can be fixed.
Stealth Artifice Quest Spawn Issue, Diablo 4 Darcel Bug
As mentioned before, one glitch that you may encounter in Diablo 4 during the Stolen Artifice is the Darcel endless spawn issue. The assignment seems to be a typical, tedious fetch quest on paper. You speak with Merryn, the Braestaig NPC. You will be tasked with killing a monster named Darcel and obtaining the Runic Charm if you volunteer to help. Once you return it to Merryn, you're done. In general, it takes five minutes to finish, if you go slowly. Yes, Darcel is an exceptional foe, but he's not really that significant. Not all Darcels are. More than twenty tell a very different tale. They will probably destroy you even if they don't overwhelm you with numbers.
Should this occur, you have violated the previously described Diablo 4 Stolen Artifice. Bug with Darcel's spawn quest. As far as we know, there isn't a "fix" other than eliminating the original Darcel. In the absence of this, no matter how many clones you kill, they will just keep coming. Alternatively, they will eventually spawn so often that it won't matter. Once the "real" Darcel is eliminated, they do cease to replicate, but good luck identifying which one that is. I mean, you could always simply pick up where you left off and see if the quest starts acting normally again. And no, this is not a bug where Darcel mistakenly summons himself while he's meant to be summoning minions. You simply have to chop down this gigantic man. That somehow makes me find the multiplication bug funny.
