How to Use Soulmask to Tame Animals
Constructing a pen is the first step in taming animals in Soulmask. While certain species, like parrots, need a perch built for them, most animals—tapirs, turkeys, capybaras, llamas, alpacas, you name them—need enclosures. They definitely need a lot of resources, but that's just the way things are. The next task is to construct a trap. It is possible to catch turkeys, parrots, and monkeys with the little trap. You may even sometimes drop the trap directly on the heads of dum-dums like turkeys. However, generally speaking, you want to set the trap close to the animal you want to capture. Keep your distance from them so they can't see or hear you and get frightened.
Feeding the animals in Soulmask is the next step towards taming them. For example, parrots and turkeys like maize and corn flour. Alpacas and capybaras seem to like fruit in general, including pumpkins. potatoes and corn as well. Panthers like their meat uncooked. Simply use common sense and consider what the animal you are attempting to capture might like. A carnivorous large cat won't be drawn to corn flour, etc. Cats such as panthers, llamas, alpacas, and capybaras also need medium-sized traps. Move away and hide after you've put up the proper trap and food. The animal must not be able to see you or else it will flee. Await the moment when your victim enters the trap and is trapped. After picking them up and repairing or disassembling the trap, lead your new pal to the appropriate pen.
