Update Final Redfall Will Include Offline Mode & More
Arkane Austin, poor, poor man. They didn't even really want to create Redfall, as far as I can tell. In any case, they had no intention of creating a live-action character shooter. They never have been in that niche. Like Arkane Lyon, they have always been exceptional in immersive simulations. However, the unending corporate chase of the myth of perpetual expansion has done what it usually does, and as we all know, this has signaled Arkane Austin's demise. Additionally, they will end with a whimper rather than a boom as the last installment of the miserable Redfall.
What is the content of Update 4?
You may look forward to (as much as any Refall players left can look forward to anything) "revamped Neighborhood and Nest systems, Single Player Pausing, Offline Mode, and more," according to this tweet from the official Redfall account. Thus far, it is all we have. Naturally, more specific information will undoubtedly become available once Update 4 launches, whenever that may be, approaches. If nothing else, Arkane Austin, or whatever is left of it, will at least get the game just a little bit closer to becoming acceptable. It won't accomplish much, however, in my opinion.
It's probable that Bethesda and Microsoft will never deliver on the other promises they made about Redfall. Furthermore, I'm not sure how those of you who bought the game at launch and played beyond the allotted time will be able to get a refund. You are definitely entitled to reimbursements, considering that Bethesda and Microsoft have effectively deceived you with fraudulent claims. Still, lesson learnt, right? Please refrain from pre-ordering and from allowing FOMO to control you. Let's give a little something more for Tango and Arkane Austin while we're at it.
