Where to Look for Patches After the Update to Elden Ring 1.04

Some more narrative components were added to the Patches NPC with the Elden Ring 1.03 release back in March. He handed us Dancer's Castanets when he unexpectedly showed up at the Shaded Castle. He begged us to please give Tanith the Castanets. It didn't go very well. Tanith declined Dancer's offer of the castanets since she didn't think they would be helpful to her. To make matters even more perplexing, Patches vanished out of nowhere.

After our interaction with him at the Shaded Castle, he was nowhere to be seen, leading gamers to believe he had passed away. However, it turns out not to be the case. We can now locate Patches once again thanks to the most recent Elden Ring 1.04 upgrade. So, following the 1.04 upgrade, where can I locate patches?

You must return all the way to the Shaded Castle, where you first discovered him, inside the Murkwater Cave, after he vanishes from there.. Try to loot a chest inside after you enter, and he will leap out. He'll try to attack you at first, but you MUST NOT KILL him. He'll instantly identify you and plead for forgiveness. Simply put an end to the altercation, be kind to him, and he will offer you the "Patches' Crouch" sign. After hearing what he has to say and using up all available conversation choices, he will return to being a shopkeeper.
