Numerous New Avatar Customization Options Are Added in Pokemon GO
One aspect of Pokemon GO that has often annoyed me is the very limited possibilities for customizing avatars. Yes, there were many clothes and accessories, but when it came to truly choosing how your Trainer would appear, well. Yes, the swimming pool was rather shallow. Which seems strange for a game where the main focus is on players getting to know one another. Niantic seems to be making an attempt to update and remodel Pokemon GO by providing users with more alternatives.
What further customisation options will Trainers have then? "Adjustable body weights, eye colors, and skin tones, plus new facial expressions and hairstyles," is what is said in the official post, anyhow. For simpler navigation, hairstyles may be sorted by length: short, medium, and long. New sliders have also been included for the chest, shoulders, hips, weight, and general musculature. Oh, and further choices for skin tone, hair, and eye colors.
These additional choices are rather simple to access. All you need to do is touch your Trainer image on the map screen, according to this Help Center article. After selecting Style, tap Appearance. By pressing the Custom button, you may access extra choices for some of the categories. Simple as pie. Apply your adjustments and close the editor whenever you're satisfied with all you've done. Remember that you have a whole new clothing to wear.
The greatest part, you know what it is? Niantic is developing more than just this. There will be more, the same post claims. On April 22, there will be two events: "Rediscover your world" and "Rediscover Kanto." I'm not sure what it implies specifically for Trainers, but I'm very interested. Then, on May 7, we have "Rediscover your reality," which suggests, I suppose, that the AR is being updated as well. We'll have to watch and find out.
