As hard as the devil works, Poncle works much harder. The group behind Vampire Survivors, which started off as a single project, seems to be far from finished. And happily so, since it's without a doubt my best game of 2022. Not only will the game eventually coming to the PlayStation 4 and 5, but fresh DLC is also on the way. And from what the devs have mentioned, there will be a ton of material. Shall we get into the specifics now?

Since there isn't much to say about the PlayStation, let's get that out of the way first. As everyone is aware, Vampire Survivors has been available for a while on PC, Xbox, and Switch, but the PS4 and 5 haven't joined the fray yet. That will all change this summer when the game releases on both systems. Although there isn't a specific launch timeframe, we know it will happen eventually! There, I hope it experiences the same degree of well-earned success.

This brings us to the interesting part: Operation Guns, the Contra DLC. It will retail for $2.49 / €2.49 / £1.99 when it releases on May 9th, as per the announcement. And it will include a great deal. What the post promises is as follows:

• 11 gun-slinging characters
• 22 new weapons between base versions and evolutions. They’re not all guns – some of them trigger explosions too!
• 1 large stage and 1 bonus stage
• 13 music tracks directly from the Contra series and 6 brand new covers
• An explosively silly 6-chapters Adventure

Thus, there's a lot to be excited about. You can see how the new material will play by watching the trailer down below. To be honest, it seems incredible. It's amazing how many missiles are shooting in all directions. I want to spread death, regardless of whether I can even make out what's happening!
