Shovel Location in Wicked No Rest
We are going to show you where to locate your first shovel in No Rest for the Wicked in our guide on shovel locations. Why does it matter? Because there will be unique resource "nodes" on the ground very early on. They resemble gopher holes in appearance, with spherical fissures. And although it's OK to ignore them, it's always beneficial to amass as much information as you can. Speaking about that shovel,
Where in No Rest for the Wicked is There a Shovel?
The Mess Hall area is where you'll find the first merchant in No Rest for the Wicked to sell you a shovel. We'll show you where it is in the screenshots below if you're not sure. In essence, it's "below" the enormous, cart-parts bonfire. The primary issue, however, is that you must first locate the Mess Hall key since the door is locked. To achieve it, keep going until you reach the closed portcullis on your right. Proceed down the path that leads down from there. You will come to a corpse-covered ledge; the key is located there.
The location of Fillmore and the Mess Hall door
Return to the Mess Hall, get the door unlocked, and take out the three guards. The first seller you will see in No Rest for the Wicked and the first place you may purchase a shovel is Fillmore, with whom you can speak after that. More specifically, twenty copper pieces for a metal shovel. It's the cheapest shovel I know of, but it gets the job done. If you have a shovel in your inventory, you may use it to search for treasure anytime you find "gopher holes," which are crevices in the earth where resources can be extracted.
Although we looked twice and were unable to locate it, there are rumours that there is a chest nearby that includes a free shovel. It's not a huge concern if you don't discover it straight away since you can make your own tools and find better shovels later in the game. Having said that, it's usually advisable to get those first materials with at least the most basic shovel.
